Audubon Society of Spokane – Bird educator Jan Reynolds will present a slide show on unusual birds found in the area, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Riverview Retirement Home, 1801 N. Upriver Drive. (509) 466-3098.

Signing Santa – The Spokane County Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will host a breakfast, social time and visit with Santa, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at Manito United Methodist Church, 3220 S.
