Bryan Peterson scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead West Valley to a 53-48 win over host Moscow in a non-league boys game Tuesday.

Casey Sherrill added 13 points and six rebounds for the Eagles (2-1).

Shane Miller scored 14 points to lead the Bears (4-1), who couldn’t recover after falling behind 14-4 in the first quarter.

In other non-league action, sophomore Kelly Cook scored 20 points and Alex Hovde added 10 points and 10 rebounds as Tekoa-Oakesdale (3-2) beat Asotin 72-42 in Tekoa. Ryan Witters led the Panthers with 17 points and nine rebounds. … Ben Aune scored 20 points and Jared Berarducci added 12 as Colfax (3-0) beat visiting Warden 74-39.
