Gonzaga Prep Bullpups junior 112-pounder David Hall pinned Kevin Schaffer at 1 minute, 59 seconds in the first round to rally the Bullpups to a 39-36 victory over the visiting Lewis and Clark Tigers in Greater Spokane League wrestling action on Wednesday.
LC heavyweight Andre Taylor came from behind to upset Matt Lynch 9-7 and give the Tigers a late lead.
In other GSL action, Ferris 145-pounder Ian Bauman was trailing 14-10 when he pinned Rogers’ Lance Smith at 5:06 in the third period to help the Saxons to a 55-24 victory over the visiting Pirates. … Dan Michalski (189) and Jimmy Martin (215) opened with back-to-back pins and the East Valley Knights broke open a close match by dominating the final four weight classes (three pins and a major decision) en route to a 52-24 victory over the host Shadle Park Highlanders. … Jacob Anderson (119) and Ben Moore (145) notched pins, and Carter Comito (160), Jordan Greco (171) and Boyd Funk (215) earned major decisions to lead the visiting Mead Panthers to a 36-26 win over the North Central Indians. … Elliott Nay (140) pinned Wes Reasor in 3:52 and the University Titans rolled to a 38-27 win over the visiting Mt. Spokane Wildcats. It was Nay’s third pin in GSL action this year.

Jennesa Miller paced Freeman (4-1) with 10 points. … In other non-league play, Natalie Nichols hit four 3-pointers en route to a game-high 27 points to lead the Lakeland Hawks (3-4) to a 63-56 road win over the Medical Lake Cardinals (2-3). Richelle Daily topped Medical Lake with 20 points, nine rebounds and four blocks.

Dan Anderson came off the bench to score 13 to lead the host Post Falls Trojans (3-2) to a 69-56 win over the Freeman Scotties (2-3) in non-league play. Freeman’s Andrew Dresback led all scorers with 14. … Also in non-league play, David Ramacus hit five 3-pointers and scored 19 to power the Medical Lake Cardinals (1-1) to a 36-33 win over the visiting Lakeland Hawks (0-5).

Tonya Turner (35.875 points) and Ashley Dotson (34.225) finished 1-2 in all-around to lead the Mead Panthers to a victory in a four-way meet at Central Valley. Mead edged CV 167.4-161.475. Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) was third (124.875), followed by Lewis and Clark (94.25).
