Search on for Miss Spokane Valley

The search is on for the new Miss Spokane Valley.

The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications from young women interested in representing the city as Miss Spokane Valley or as one of the Miss Spokane Valley Ambassadors.

The young women participate in community events and parades throughout the area. Miss Spokane Valley receives a $1,000 college scholarship and the first- and second-runners up, as well as the ambassadors, receive a $500 scholarship.

Applicants must be juniors in one of Spokane Valley’s high schools.

Applications are available from the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce located at 9507 E. Sprague Ave. and are due Feb. 15. The winner will be selected March 18 at the University High School auditorium. For more information, call 924-4994
