Ballet fund-raiser to aid children’s literacy

Ballet Spokane will perform “Cinderella” at a children’s literacy fund-raiser on Sunday at the Interplayers theater.

The event, which also includes a silent auction and Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, begins at 2 p.m. at Interplayers, 174 S. Howard St. Admission is the donation of one children’s book per person, or $5.

Proceeds benefit Page Ahead, an organization that provides books for at-risk children and their families. For tickets or more information, call 789-3548.

MTC at Panida

Missoula Children’s Theatre will present two performances of “Robin Hood” Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint.

The touring theater organization provides sets, costumes and other necessities for putting on plays and recruits local children to perform in them.

Tickets for Saturday’s shows are $8.50 for adults, $5.50 for youths 18 and under. Call (208) 263-6139.
