Candy sales will send kids to camp

The Spokesman-Review

The Inland Northwest Camp Fire Council kicks off its fund-raising with its first candy sale kickoff parade on Monday.

The celebration begins at 11 a.m. in River Park Square, with a pep rally, parade and activities to follow.

Camp Fire and the Northeast Kiwanis Club will be teaming up to sell Brown & Haley Creamy Smooth Mint Patties, Almond Roca, Almond Caramel Clusters and P-Nuttles for $5.

All of the proceeds for the candy sale parade will support the Northeast Kiwanis Camps for Kids program, which sends at-risk youth or those in financial need to camp.

The candy sale fund-raiser will be from Feb. 25 to

March 19, when Camp Fire boys and girls can be found at stores and neighborhoods.

By selling candy, many of the kids participating will earn their way to Camp Sweyolakan and Camp Dart-Lo.
