Stuckey lifts Eastern
OGDEN, Utah – Eastern Washington University freshman Rodney Stuckey had 26 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals as the Eagles beat Weber State 76-73 Wednesday night.
EWU (12-12, 7-4 Big Sky) led 43-33 at halftime, but the Wildcats rallied to pull to within 70-69 on Coric Riggs’ layup with 1 minute, 24 seconds left.
Trailing by three, WSU (10-15, 4-8) had the ball with 14 seconds left. The Wildcats’ Nick Covington missed a 3-point attempt, David Patten grabbed the offensive rebound and passed it back to Covington, who missed another 3-pointer at the buzzer.
