Clark Fork found itself down by two at the half, but outscored host Kootenai 25-10 the rest of the way in a 48-35 North Star League boys basketball win on Wednesday night at Harrison.

Tyler Broggi scored 17 for the Wampus Cats (9-10, 7-4), who used a man-to-man defense to shut down the Warriors (5-14, 3-8) in the second half.

Kolten Wilms led Kootenai with 17.

NSL action wraps up this evening, but seedings are set for postseason.

CF and Kootenai will meet in a loser-out game on Tuesday night.

Wrestling

Timberlake’s Scott Holbrook (189 pounds) began an early string of three consecutive pins and the Tigers held off a late rally to edge host Priest River 37-36 in Intermountain League action. Timberlake held a comfortable lead with four matches remaining, but the Spartans trailed just 37-33 with one to go. Ray Hinshaw earned the decision for Priest River at 160, but Timberlake got the team win to keep its perfect league season intact.
