We’ll see if 007 is stirred

The Spokesman-Review

The new James Bond now has his Bond Girl.

Eva Green, whose screen credits include Bernardo Bertolucci‘s erotic drama “The Dreamers,” will co-star as the enticing Vesper Lynd in “Casino Royale” opposite Daniel Craig, making his 007 debut.

“Eva is one of France’s most accomplished young actresses, now receiving international acclaim,” the film’s producers said. “She brings to the complex role of Vesper an exciting combination of enigmatic and seductive beauty.”

Green, whose credits also include “Kingdom of Heaven,” follows a long line of Bond babes including Ursula Andress, Jill St. John, Britt Ekland, Kim Basinger and Halle Berry.

“Casino Royale” is expected to be in theaters on Nov. 17.

Gold, after all

Figure skater Michelle Kwan, whose quest for Olympic gold ended because of a groin injury, has signed on with The Walt Disney Co. as a celebrity spokeswoman.

Kwan, 25, will be featured in ads and other media promoting Disney’s businesses, and also will appear in the media company’s original programming. Financial terms of the multiyear deal were not disclosed.

Disney previously published her fictional book series “Michelle Kwan Presents Skating Dreams,” and she has appeared in Disney and ABC television specials. In 1998, she also skated in a TV special based on the music of Disney’s animated film “Mulan.”

Burning love

Elvis‘ little girl, Lisa Marie Presley, has gotten married for the fourth time.

Presley, 38, wed her former musical director, guitarist/producer Michael Lockwood, in a ceremony last month in Kyoto, Japan, her publicist announced.

She was previously married to Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson and musician/actor Danny Keough – the father of her two children, and the best man at last month’s ceremony.

Material fitness?

Madonna may have gyrated like a 20-year-old at the Grammy Awards, but she paid for it later.

Following her high-octane performance to open the Feb. 8 show, the Material Girl had to have hernia surgery. Her spokeswoman said she’s “absolutely fine now.”

Last summer, a horse accident at her English estate left the 47-year-old mother of two with a broken collarbone and three cracked ribs.
