District 8 3A playoffs

Damal Neil had 13 points and Eric Beal had 11 and eight rebounds as North Central led 25-12 at halftime and routed Cheney 62-32 in the second-place game at Mt. Spokane High School. The Indians (19-4) are the second seed to regionals, while Cheney is the third seed.

District 9 B playoffs

Chris Keeney’s putback off a missed 3-pointer came just after the horn sounded as LaCrosse-Washtucna fell to Liberty Christian 45-44 at Walla Walla High School. The Tigercats (12-11) got a game-high 18 points from Matt Martin, who also scored his 1,000th career point in the fourth and has 1,002 for his career. L-W will play DeSales Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Walla Walla Community College. … Asotin (16-9) received 14 points from Tyler Swenson and turned a seven-point halftime deficit into a 50-44 win over DeSales. The Panthers will take on Liberty Christian in a winner-to-state game Monday at 8:30 p.m.

District 8 3A playoffs

Kylee Williamson’s 11 points led East Valley (9-13) to a 37-30 victory over Cheney in a second-place game at Mt. Spokane High. The Knights were 17 of 31 from the free-throw line, compared to just 5 of 11 for the Blackhawks (8-14). Calynne Oyolokor had 12 points for Cheney. East Valley is the second seed to district, while Cheney is the third.

District 9 B playoffs

Caitlin Dunham had a game-high 20 points as Liberty Christian led 11-2 after one quarter and beat Tekoa-Oakesdale 52-33 at Walla Walla High School. Darcie Chappell had 15 points to lead the T-O Nighthawks (15-8), who will take on LaCrosse-Washtucna Monday at noon at Walla Walla Community College in a loser-out game. … Alyssa Koller’s 22 points and 17 rebounds were not enough for L-W (17-6) as Kayleigh Greene had 23 points and eight rebounds in Pomeroy’s 63-59 win over the Tigercats. Pam Passmore also had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigercats. … DeSales held on to beat Colton (16-9) 54-45 in a loser-out game.
