UConn edges Notre Dame
Marcus Williams had a triple-double and No. 3 Connecticut set a Big East record with 19 blocks, sending Notre Dame to yet another close loss with a 75-74 victory in overtime Tuesday night at Hartford, Conn.
Hilton Armstrong blocked seven shots and hit a pair of free throws late in overtime to put UConn ahead. Rudy Gay came down with a key defensive rebound as time expired, helping the Huskies hang on after blowing a 19-point lead in the second half.
Williams finished with 18 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds for the sixth triple-double in school history and first since Emeka Okafor in December 2003 against Army. Josh Boone had 12 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks.
Michigan 72, (8) Illinois 64: At Ann Arbor, Mich., Daniel Horton scored 25 of his career-high 39 points in the second half, rallying the Wolverines to a victory over the Illini.
Virginia 72, (11) Boston College 58: At Charlottesville, Va., J.R. Reynolds scored 28 points and the Cavaliers stunned Boston College to end the Eagles’ five-game winning streak.
(16) Kansas 76, Baylor 61: At Lawrence, Kan., freshman Julian Wright had a career-high 20 points on 10-for-11 shooting in a victory over the Bears.

(9) Oklahoma 78, Kansas St. 64: At Manhattan, Kan., Courtney Paris extended her nation-leading string of double-doubles to 20, finishing with 22 points and 15 rebounds, and the Sooners used a late 16-4 run to beat the Wildcats.
