Fair Housing Conference April 19

The 2006 Fair Housing Conference will be held from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 19 at Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute Commons and will address “Accomodations Under the Fair Housing Act, Part II.” Opening remarks will be made by Spokane Mayor Dennis Hession.

The featured speaker will be Theresa Kitay, president of the Fair Housing Institute and partner in the law firm of Coughlin, Kitay & Edelstein.

She is a frequent contributor on fair housing issues and has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives.

Sponsors are the City of Spokane Community Development Department; Inland Empire Rental Association; Northeast Washington Housing Solutions; Spokane County Housing and Community Development; and the Spokane Office of the U.S Department of Housing & Urban Development.
