NBC’s ‘Conviction’ to debut on iTunes
The new Dick Wolf drama “Conviction” is scheduled to premiere Friday on NBC. But if you use iTunes, you can watch it now.
NBC is offering the first episode of “Conviction” as a free download on Apple’s music-and-video service. After the show premieres, episodes will be available for the standard iTunes price of $1.99.
Networks have previewed a few shows online in the past, but that usually has come in the form of streaming video. NBC says “Conviction” will be the first series to debut on iTunes before its televised premiere.
“Conviction” follows a group of young prosecutors in the Manhattan district attorney’s office, both in and out of the courtroom.
The series from “Law & Order” creator Wolf stars Eric Balfour, Milena Govich, J. August Richards, Julianne Nicholson, Anson Mount, Jordan Bridges and former “SVU” regular Stephanie March.
