‘Cordey’ lamps

Q: I have a set of lamps which are marked “Cordey.” Can you tell me anything about them? — Betty, Marion, Ind.

A: The Cordey China Company was established in Trenton, N.J., in 1942 by Harry Wilson, Harvey Greenburg and a small group of investors. The company established a reputation for its highly stylized porcelain pieces, mostly figurines. Many of the products produced by the company before 1950 have become quite collectible.
