The Spokesman-Review

University of Idaho’s football receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Chad Q. Brown has accepted the offensive coordinator’s position with the University of Northern Colorado, the school announced Wednesday.

During Brown’s two years with the Vandals, Bobby Bernal-Woods set a school record for receptions in a season (96) and D.J. Smith set a single-game record for receiving yards (269).

Football

The Spokane Shock announced the signing of three players.

Joining the arenafootball2 team are Charles Dutra, Christian Harmeyer and Brian Zbydniewski, bringing the Shock’s roster to 21.

Dutra, 6-foot-6 and 325 pounds, will play on the offensive and defensive lines. He played at Menlo College (Atherton, Calif.).

Harmeyer, also an offensive and defensive lineman, started 33 games at Minnesota State-Mankato.

Zbydniewski is a 6-1, 195-pound quarterback who played for Belhaven College, an NAIA school in Jackson, Miss.

Wrestling

North Idaho College won both of its meets in a double-dual at Clackamas (Ore) Community College.

Heinrich Barns (141 pounds) and Josh Edmonson (174) were the only two NIC wrestlers to pick up a pair of victories on the day. In the first meet of the day, NIC picked up wins in three of the final four matches to defeat the host Cougars 22-19. Barns picked up a 13-5 major decision, and Edmonson landed a decision. Barns and Edmonson both scored major decision wins as NIC defeated Highline CC 33-13 to cap off the day.
