Fire District 2 (Fairfield) – Commissioners are checking into the rates the district pays for ambulance services to see if they are comparable to other small towns in the area. They also made a decision to buy a new laptop computer for the chief and EMS director. (Source: Chief Adam Brannon)
Fire District 11 (Rockford) – The district has been awarded a Department of Natural Resources grant for a little more than $6,000. It will be used to pay for various types of equipment, including communications equipment. Commissioners discussed appointing a new commissioner to fill a vacant seat and will likely make a decision at their next meeting. (Source: Chief Stan Seehorn)
Edgecliff SCOPE – Volunteers discussed upcoming fund-raisers, including a pancake feed planned for March. They also discussed setting up a clothing bank for people in the neighborhood. (Source: President Rick Scott)
