Restaurants and bars are expecting championship-size crowds Sunday for the Seattle Seahawks game that could advance the team into its first Super Bowl. Here’s a look at some businesses that may score from the fan excitement:

Fizzie Mulligans

331 W. Hastings Road

“It’s going to be as big as the Super Bowl. The place will be packed,” manager Pat Strong said of his 160-seat-capacity restaurant. “And if the Seahawks make it, it’s going to be worse than the Gonzaga game (against Pepperdine last weekend).” Food and drink specials will be offered throughout the game.

Heroes & Legends

825 W. Riverside Ave.

A downtown spot with a lot of TVs.

Hooters

16208 E. Indiana Ave.

Assistant general manager Chuck Bayha anticipates his first NFC and AFC championships to bring “wall-to-wall” business. Hooters, which opened last July, can hold between 200 and 250 patrons and has 80 TVs. There also will be a lot of Seahawk giveaways, $2 beers and other specials. Bayha said he’s gearing up for Super Bowl XL on Feb. 5, when patrons will need to pre-pay for their seats.

Jack & Dan’s Bar and Grill

1226 N. Hamilton St.

It’s not a Gonzaga basketball game, but owner Jack Stockton said the Seahawks game could generate “somewhat of a madhouse.” Named by Sports Illustrated as a top 25 sports bar in the country, Jack & Dan’s seats about 115.

Northern Quest Casino

100 N. Hayford Road

Drink specials, hot wings, popcorn and hotdogs. Patrons can play the $300 prize football board in either the Pend Oreille Pavilion or the Legends of Fire Sports Lounge. The casino is giving away $50 certificates at the end of the first and third quarters and during halftime.

Pepperdine Sports Bar & Grill

2911 E. 57th Ave.

Owner Wade Schafer expects the crowd to be comparable to Zags basketball or Montana football. Giveaway and drink specials are planned.

Players & Spectators

12828 E. Sprague Ave.

Bar manager Pam Carlton won’t be surprised if the crowd reaches the level of a Super Bowl game or New Year’s celebration. In anticipation, the 250-seat Players Park room with the giant screen TV will be opened.

Red Lion Barbecue and Pub

126 N. Division

For $10, patrons will get dinner, a drink and a guaranteed reserved seat.

The Swinging Doors Tavern

1018 W. Francis Ave, Spokane

Manager John Schoeffler said 35 percent of the North Side tavern will be reserved for groups of eight and more.

“It’s going to be by far the most anticipated Seahawks game that I’ve ever seen,” Schoeffler said, “but you hear a lot of that Cougin’ it stuff, too, and that the Seahawks are going to blow it somehow.”

Coeur d’Alene

Capone’s Pub & Grill

751 N. Fourth St.

Owner Ron Capone suggests patrons arrive early because he expects the 120-seat pub will be packed.

Paddy’s

601 W. Appleway Ave.

Patrons will need to buy tickets to get in for the Super Bowl, but on Sunday it’s first-come, first-served in the 240-seat-capacity bar/restaurant.
