GSL game of the week

Lewis and Clark girls (14-0, 7-0) at Gonzaga Prep (12-2, 6-1), Friday, 5:45 p.m.

This one speaks for itself. The LC Tigers moved into the State 4A poll’s top spot this week and have yet to be tested. The Bullpups’ lone league loss came against co-league leader University when the Titans seemed unable to miss from beyond the arc early. LC’s press has given everyone problems, but the Bullpups’ small, quick lineup may be immune to the pressure. If they are, the Tigers may finally play a fourth quarter that matters.

Area game of the week

Inchelium girls (14-2, 10-1) at Curlew (13-2, 10-1), Friday, 5:45 p.m.

This game decides the best team in the Panorama, and by extension, the team that will be one of the favorites for one of the three District 7 berths to state. Inchelium has handed Curlew its only two losses (61-60 and 43-35), but both were played early in December. Since then, Curlew has won 12 straight, led by juniors Nichole Miller and Amanda Grumbach, combining for 31.8 points a game.
