Madrigal dinner planned
The Post Falls High School Troubadors will hold a Renaissance Madrigal Dinner Friday and next Saturday to raise money to attend the Heritage Music Festival in April in Seattle.
This elegant five-course dinner will be served in the style of a 16th century English castle and will last about three hours. The students will be dressed in Renaissance costumes and will provide entertainment throughout the evening.
The dinner will include fruit and cheese appetizers, traditional Wassail, salad, soup, roasted Cornish game hens, dressing, potato, roll and butter, chocolate cake and choice of beverage.
Each choir member must raise $350 to attend the music festival. As part of their trip, the choir has been selected to perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a April 21 Seattle Mariners baseball game.
The dinner starts at 6 p.m. in the high school commons. Tickets are $20 per person and must be purchased in advance. Only 150 guests can attend each evening. Call 773-0581, ext. 6114, for tickets or more information.
