Jason Cardon has been hired as a system administration manager at Duvoisin and Associates. He previously worked as a system administrator at Zak Designs and is a graduate of Eastern Washington University.

AmericanWest Bank has hired Richie Liu as assistant vice president and commercial loan officer. He is a graduate of Santa Clara University with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Tasha Sheets has been hired as an accounting manager at Duvoisin and Associates. She previously worked as a revenue analyst at Itron and holds a master’s degree in international management from Whitworth College.

Heart Clinics Northwest has hired Dr. Stephen Thew as an interventional cardiologist. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, completed his residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and fellowships at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center/Chicago.

Justin Ladd has been hired as director of finance at Duvoisin and Associates. He previously worked as a financial analyst at Itron and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington State University.

Keller Williams Realty Coeur d’Alene has hired Karen Fischer as an agent. She previously worked at L.P. Link & Associates in Hayden and has over 10 years of real estate experience.

Sharon Kelly has been hired as director of nursing at Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital. She has over 20 years of nursing experience and received her nursing degree from the Intercollegiate College of Nursing.

Danilo Silva has been hired as the general manager of South American Operations at HuntMountain Resources. He is a field geologist and has over 10 years of experience exploring and developing mineral deposits in South America.

IT-Lifeline has hired John Ames as director of business continuity solutions. He has over 30 years of experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and previously worked at Western United Life Insurance.

Terri Johnson has been hired as director of client relations at IT-Lifeline. She has previously worked in the technology, manufacturing, accounting and software development industries.

PROMOTED

Duvoisin and Associates has promoted Kim Papich to communications specialist. She has been with the company for one year and holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Washington State University.

Lloyd Taylor has been promoted to vice president at Sterling Savings Bank. He has been with the bank for one year and holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Montana State University.

Preston Gates & Ellis has promoted David Daggett to partner in the law firm’s Spokane office. He specializes in intellectual property transactions and enforcement and is a graduate of the Gonzaga University School of Law.

The First Peoples Fund has recognized Diana Passmore with the Artist in Business Leadership Award. She is a member of the Blackfeet Tribe and is a traditional form bead worker.

Blue Water Technologies has received a Technology Merit Award from the Environmental Business Journal for its launching operation of the Hayden Wastewater Research Facility.

ELECTED/APPOINTED

The Metal Building Manufacturers Association has appointed Bill Savitz as vice chairman. Savitz is the president of Garco Building Systems.

Creigh Agnew has been appointed to the board of directors of Sterling Savings Bank. Agnew is the vice president of government affairs and corporate contributions for Weyerhaeuser Co.

Jon Eliassen has been re-appointed to the Washington Technology Center board of directors by Governor Christine Gregoire. Eliassen is president of the Spokane Area Economic Development Council.

GIFTS

The Fred Meyer Foundation has granted the Coeur d’Alene Youth Orchestra $1,622.62. The funds will be used for new music to be performed at North Idaho College in May.

Baldwin Resource Group has acquired the office of Meacham Group, a provider of health benefits to school districts, businesses and individuals.

NEW BUSINESS

John Beck has opened a Farmers Insurance Agency at 9211 E. Mission Ave., suite H. He is a graduate of the University of Idaho and holds a bachelor’s in accounting.

Ruthie and Jim Reidt have opened DandyLion Daycare at 1505 E. Lyons. The Reidts have worked in the childcare industry for seven years and the new center can be reached at 489-0162.
