Performers needed for Art on the Green

Art on the Green is looking for performance artists for its annual festival, which will run Aug. 4 to 6 in Coeur d’Alene.

Interested performers should send a tape or a CD to Art on the Green, P.O. Box 901, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83816. The deadline is Feb. 15.

Call for writers

The Coeur d’Alene Public Library is accepting applications for its 18th annual Writers Competition.

Unpublished fiction or nonfiction that is 2,000 words or less will be accepted. Any entry that does not follow the directions on the application will be automatically disqualified.

Cash prizes will be awarded in each of five age groups: 6 to 8, 9 to 11, 12 to 14, 15 to 18, and 19 and older. There is an entry fee of $1 for ages 6 through 11, and $2 for those age 12 and older.

Entry deadline is March 31. Entry forms are available by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Writers Competition, Coeur d’Alene Public Library, 201 E. Harrison Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814-3240, by visiting the library or online at www.cdalibrary.org beginning Tuesday.

Call for artists

Pottery Place Plus, 203 N. Washington St., is looking for artists or groups of artists who are not members of the gallery who would like to display their work.

The cooperative gallery will display a monthly visiting artist exhibit during the spring and summer. Anyone interested in submitting artwork or becoming a member should contact Jeff Harris at 299-7592 or keramosj@centurytel.net.

Classes and workshops

The Tinman Gallery, 811 W. Garland Ave., is presenting a class on making gothic valentines on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
