Booths’ Glengary Fishing Cabin

The Spokesman-Review

Where: Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho.

History: “We leased it on a handshake about 30 years ago,” says Charles Booth, 77, of Cheney, “and it has endured all that time.”

Primary use: A place to go fishing and “renew ourselves.”

Memories: Teaching three generations how to swim, cook good, old-fashioned cabin food and “sail with confidence on a pretty big lake.”

Plans to keep it in family: “Our children and grandchildren enjoy going to the cabin and want to continue the activity.”
