Feature creature
Keke was deposited on the shelter steps with a handwritten note from a heartbroken, anonymous owner. It said that something was wrong with her cat’s large, distended belly, but she couldn’t afford veterinarian fees. Keke was given the royal treatment for her colossal umbilical hernia, then she nearly died of a respiratory disease. A generous patron paid for her veterinary care, and now this petite kitty seeks a new home to go along with her new lease on life. Keke is shy, sweet and gets along nicely with other critters. Visit her at the Coeur d’Alene Animal Shelter at 125 Hazel or call 665-7379 to learn more.
