Choir concert – The Spokane Area Children’s Chorus Ensemble Choir will host the Ragazzi Boys Chorus of San Francisco in a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1601 S. Sullivan Road. The Ragazzi Boys Chorus includes more than 60 boys ages 10-18; (509) 624-7992.
Water safety – Learn about safe areas to swim, personal flotation devices, hypothermia, water laws and using a canoe or kayak, 6:30-7:45 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Gear, 2002 N. Division. The class is free, but registration is required; (509) 625-6200.
Summer Concert Series – The next free concert in the series features Working Spliffs performing Jamaican and American Reggae, 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Coeur d’Alene Park, Second and Chestnut in Browne’s Addition. Families may bring a blanket and picnic, but no alcohol is allowed. The concerts will continue each Thursday through August; (509) 747-2853.

Boating Safety course – Hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. next Saturday at the Naval Reserve Training Center, 5101 N. Assembly. It includes boating laws, safe boat handling, navigation and safety equipment. The cost is $30, and preregistration is required; (509) 276-7490.
