People: Bet she has some fringe on top
Almost three months after the birth of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes‘ daughter, the Shroud of Suri has yet to be lifted.
Suri Cruise has yet to be seen in public, either in person or photographically, since entering the world April 18.
Us Weekly magazine is running a clock, ticking off the days since her birth. German TV station RTL has produced a composite image of what Suri might look like. Just to be sure, TMZ.com obtained a copy of the official birth certificate, filed May 8 in Los Angeles.
Says a Cruise spokesman: “If and when they do make a decision (to show Suri), it will be at their discretion and not anybody else’s.”
The most common theory for the absence involves Cruise’s Scientology beliefs. The religion is specific about how infants should be treated, including birth in a silent environment.
Then again, FoxNews.com reports Cruise was offered only $3 million when he shopped Suri photos, compared to $4 million for the Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt baby.
A distant look
Speaking of Angelina Jolie, her actor father, Jon Voight, says he’s seen a marked change in her since the birth of daughter Shiloh Nouvel:
“I never saw Angie’s face more happy. Deep, deep peace that never has been there before until this. Beautiful, beautiful look.”
At least, that’s what Voight sees in pictures of her; he and his estranged daughter haven’t spoken in two years.
“No, I haven’t seen Shiloh yet. I’m looking forward to it,” he says.
Uptown crier
Christie Brinkley and her fourth husband, architect Peter Cook, have separated.
Cook and Brinkley married in 1996 and have a daughter.
The 52-year-old supermodel was previously married to Jean-Francois Allaux, musician Billy Joel and developer Richard Taubman.
She and Joel have a daughter, and she and Taubman have a son.
Losing trust and funds
Comedian Kathy Griffin says her 4 1/2 -year marriage ended after she discovered her husband had taken some $72,000 out of her bank accounts.
Griffin said on CNN’s “Larry King Live” that ex-husband Matt Moline would take her ATM cards out of her wallet while she was sleeping.
They went to couples therapy, she added, but couldn’t “get beyond the trust issue.”
Getting her kicks
Pamela Anderson may have a stripper pole in her bedroom, but she’s still a soccer mom.
“I go to every game!” the former “Baywatch” star tells House & Garden magazine.
Anderson, 39, has two children, Brandon, 10, and Dylan, 8, from her former marriage to rocker Tommy Lee.
The MAC Cosmetics spokesmodel also is busy developing her own line of “body-care products for the sun.”
“If anyone knows about spending lots of the time on the beach, with kids and dogs in tow, it’s me,” she says.
