Summertime BLTs

Here is an unusual but delicious way to enjoy a BLT without the guilt of a fattening spread.

BLT Cracker Spread

1/2 cup nonfat sour cream

1/2 cup fat-free mayonnaise

1/4 cup bacon bits

1 cup finely shredded lettuce

1/2 cup finely chopped fresh tomato

In a medium bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise and bacon bits. Add lettuce and tomato. Mix well to combine. Spread mixture over crackers. Makes 6 ( 1/4 cup) servings.

•Each serving equals: 53 calories, 1 g fat, 3 g protein, 8 g carb., 371 mg sodium, 0 g fiber; Diabetic Exchanges: 1/2 Starch/Carb.
