Nationals 8, Giants 6: At Washington, the Nationals overcame two homers by Ray Durham and used a five-run third against Matt Morris to beat San Francisco.

Cubs 8, Mets 6: At New York, Carlos Zambrano hit his fourth homer of the season and won his eighth straight start as Chicago beat the Mets.

Marlins 2, Braves 1: At Atlanta, Anibal Sanchez allowed one run and seven hits in seven innings to lift Florida over Atlanta.

Reds 2, Astros 0: At Houston, Aaron Harang dominated Houston for the third time this season with a four-hit shutout for Cincinnati.

Diamondbacks 6, Phillies 5 (11): At Philadelphia, Chase Utley hit two homers and extended his hitting streak to 25 games for the Phillies, but it was Carlos Quentin’s solo homer in the 11th that lifted Arizona over Philadelphia.

Pirates 6, Brewers 1: At Milwaukee, Jeromy Burnitz hit a pair of home runs and Pittsburgh beat the Brewers.

Cardinals 1, Rockies 0: At Denver, Albert Pujols hit his 33rd homer as St. Louis edged Colorado.

Padres 7, Dodgers 3: At Los Angeles, Mike Cameron hit a two-run homer and San Diego beat Los Angeles to extend the Dodgers’ losing streak to seven games.
