Tips lead to arrest of copper theft suspect
Post Falls police said tips from at least three citizens helped them nab a man who allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of electrical wire from a Post Falls business.
Lt. Scot Haug said Douglas Barlow, of Spokane, was identified with the help of surveillance footage police shared with the media and posted on the police department’s Web site in June.
The 36-year-old was arrested Thursday on warrants for unrelated charges, Haug said, and allegedly confessed that he had stolen the wire from United Electrical.
Barlow is being held at the Kootenai County Jail on $25,000 bond.
