Comedy Central has finally set an airdate for the final episodes of “Chappelle’s Show,” which will feature sketches Dave Chappelle completed before walking away from the series.

The network will unveil what it’s calling “Chappelle’s Show: The Lost Episodes” on July 9. That’s more than two years since the last original installment of the show first aired, and 15-plus months since Comedy Central’s scheduled premiere date for season three.

Chappelle has since said he walked away from a $50 million contract because he was stressed and had become uncomfortable with the direction the show was taking.

“Chappelle’s Show” regulars Charlie Murphy and Donnell Rawlings will introduce the sketches, as Chappelle hadn’t filmed any introductions before his departure.

Summer hours for ‘24’

For the first time in the show’s five-year history, summer reruns of “24” will air on Fox this year.

The adventures of counterterrorism agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) will begin again June 16. Back-to-back episodes will air each week for 12 weeks, ending right about the time the network rolls out its fall schedule.

Fueled by a plot featuring nerve gas, the assassination of a former president and evil dealings by the current commander in chief, “24” had a banner year in the Nielsens. The show improved its overall audience by 14 percent over its fourth season and by 12 percent in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic.
