Woman’s death investigated
Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a Deer Park woman’s death Tuesday as a possible homicide.
Search warrant documents filed Thursday show officers collected medicines, a shirt, a towel and blood samples from Carla J. Trapp’s home at 23 N. Weber Ave. in an effort to find out how she died.
The court documents say the 30-year-old woman’s husband, John W. Trapp, told investigators Tuesday that he and his wife had been drinking and quarreling the previous night.
John Trapp said his wife fell down in the bathroom and hurt her head, Detective Doug Marske stated in a request for a warrant to search for evidence of homicide. Marske said Trapp told officers he put his wife to bed and found her dead the next morning.
Patrol officers found a broken mirror in the bathroom, and John Trapp said he broke the mirror during the dispute with his wife, according to Marske.
