Following in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears reportedly is considering a Namibian birth for her next baby – or is she?
Leon Jooste, the African country’s Deputy Environment and Tourism Minister, said an inquiry was received on behalf of the pop star, who has a 9-month-old son, Sean Preston, with husband Kevin Federline.
“Nothing has been confirmed yet, but there is a definite possibility of that happening,” he said.
But later Friday, Spears’ publicist said flatly: “Not true.”
Spears, who’s expecting a second child, has taken a beating in the tabloids, which have questioned her parenting skills.
She has been photographed driving with Sean Preston in her lap, and nearly dropped him when she tripped outside a hotel.
The Namibian government shielded Jolie and Brad Pitt from the paparazzi, insisting that visiting journalists obtain written permission.
Anderson bags Angelina
Speaking of Jolie, CNN’s Anderson Cooper has scored the first U.S. television interview with her since the birth of her daughter, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, in Namibia last month.
The interview will air Tuesday night on “Anderson Cooper 360” as part of a special program devoted to World Refugee Day.
Jolie, a U.N. goodwill ambassador, discusses her daughter and her work with refugees.

Liza Minnelli‘s ex-husband, David Gest, has been sued by a former employee who says he was sexually harassed.
Charles R. Beyer claims in a federal lawsuit that he was harassed by Gest while working as his personal assistant last July.
He says Gest “made sexual comments, touched plaintiff in a sexual nature, wrote sexual comments in plaintiff’s calendar, paid another employee to touch plaintiff.”
Gest’s lawyer calls it “just a bogus attempt to get some money out of a celebrity.”
Wolves in sheep’s clothing
Beyonce Knowles had some surprise dinner guests Wednesday – members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, who peppered the pop star with questions about her fur use.
An eBay auction offered fans a chance to dine with Knowles at New York City’s chic Nobu 57 restaurant, and PETA secretly placed the winning bid.
Members confronted Knowles about wearing fur coats and using fur in her clothing line before they were kicked out of the eatery.
