Family weekend
Silverwood Theme Park is presenting a Christian Family Weekend today and Sunday.
The event features musical talent from throughout the Northwest from 4 to 7 p.m. each day, plus a headlining performance by Jessie Daniels, a Christian musician from New York, today at 3 p.m.
Daniels, 18, who started out as an actor in independent films and commercials for the Lifetime network and MTV, has just released her debut album.

Christian singles picnic
Christian Singles Fellowship is presenting its fifth annual picnic at Liberty Lake County Park on June 24.
The day will begin at 8 a.m. with a hike and will end at 8 p.m.
Admission is $6 for adults and teens and $3 for kids younger than 12. The cost includes a barbecue lunch at 12:30 p.m. and park admission.

Book signing
The Lutheran Book Parlor, 1414 W. Broadway Ave., is hosting writer Donald Newhall on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Newhall will speak about his book “Dora – Thine is the Glory: Living with Hodgkin’s Disease.” It is the story of his wife, Dora, her struggle with Hodgkin’s disease and the steadfast faith she maintained through 20 years of pain.

Father’s Day service
Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 1926 W. Chelan Ave., is honoring all fathers Sunday during its 9:30 a.m. service.
