People: The more, the merrier for Jolie
Angelina Jolie says she and Brad Pitt are planning to adopt another child.
“(W)e’re looking at different countries,” Jolie tells CNN’s Anderson Cooper in an interview set to air tonight, adding: “(I)t’s gonna be the balance of what would be best for Mad and for Z right now. It’s, you know, another boy, another girl, which country, which race would fit best with the kids.”
Jolie, 31, gave birth to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt in Namibia last month. She previously adopted 16-month-old Zahara from Ethiopia and 4-year-old Maddox from Cambodia.
She also tells Forbes magazine she’s been trying to give Maddox and Zahara plenty of attention now that there’s a newborn at home.
“It’s different to say that you choose to bring a child into existence,” Jolie explains. “I didn’t choose to bring my two adopted children to life. … Strangely enough, I was concerned about it, and I have been making a point recently to give my adopted children more attention. But I feel now I love them equally.”
Britney? Just pulling his leg
A Namibian tourism official says he may have been duped into believing that Britney Spears was considering having her next baby in the African country.
Leon Jooste, who announced Friday that someone had called on Spears’ behalf, admits he never got the person’s name and that it might have been a hoax.
But he hasn’t given up yet, adding: “I am actually going to call and invite them to see if they would like to come.”
Down Under development
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have returned home to Australia to be married, the couple announced Monday.
“We have come home to celebrate our wedding with our family and friends,” they said in a joint statement.
Australian media have widely speculated that Kidman, who turns 39 today, and country singer Urban, 38, will wed Sunday at a Catholic church in a Sydney suburb close to where the Oscar-winning actress attended high school.
Must be a smooth operator
Speaking of actresses and singers and wedding bells, “Grey’s Anatomy” star Katherine Heigl is engaged to singer-songwriter Josh Kelley. No date has been set yet.
Heigl, 27, a former model who plays Dr. Isobel “Izzie” Stevens on the hit ABC show, met Kelley, 25, last year when she appeared in a video for his song, “Only You.”
‘Big Daddy’ grows up
Adam Sandler, about to turn 40 and a new father, says he’s ready to shift his focus.
Sandler and his wife, Jackie, welcomed their first child, Sadie Madison, last month.
“I’ve got the kid – I feel relief that I don’t have to think about myself too much,” says Sandler, whose new film, “Click,” opens Friday. “I’ve had 39 years just talking about how great I am. It’s time, at age 40, to talk about the kid.”
