People: That’s what you call child-baring
Yes, that’s pregnant pop princess Britney Spears in all her naked glory on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
In a photo that recalls Demi Moore‘s famous 1991 Vanity Fair cover shot, a dark-haired, sitting Spears cups her breasts with her hands and crosses her legs while showing her protruding belly and smiling.
“Nothing to wear?” a headline asks. “487 Best new ideas inside.”
Another photo inside shows Spears, 24, holding her 9-month-old son, Sean Preston.
She revealed to late-night talk-show host David Letterman last month that she and hubby Kevin Federline were expecting again, confirming media rumors.
Spears says in the new OK! magazine that she was “very surprised” when she found out that she was pregnant again, but that “being a mom is one of the most sacred things there is.”
He was waiting until … August?
Mariska Hargitay, star of NBC’s “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” and her husband have welcomed their first child, a son named August.
The baby, who was a week overdue, was born by Caesarean section Wednesday in Los Angeles, weighing 10 pounds, 9 ounces, People magazine reported.
Hargitay, 42, and actor Peter Hermann married in August 2004.
Reliving an idle fantasy
“American Idol” winner Taylor Hicks‘ past is catching up with him.
Hicks, named People’s “hottest bachelor,” told the magazine about his first crush – “I was in the second grade; she was in the sixth” – adding he’s liked older women ever since.
After reading the article, Christy Lee Worsham called the magazine.
“He was such a fun kid,” said Worsham, 32. “I’m married. But I’d like to reconnect. He was like a brother to me.”
Him and his loose tongue
Gene Simmons of the rock group Kiss has settled a lawsuit brought against him by a former girlfriend who charged that he made her sound like a “sex-addicted nymphomaniac” during a documentary on VH1.
Georgeann Walsh Ward, a girlfriend of Simmons’ in the 1970s, claimed the documentary defamed her by juxtaposing Simmons’ commentary about his sexual appetite with photographs that included her.
We’ll see what bubbles up
Michael Jackson‘s deepest sex secrets could spill out in his bitter $3.8 million court battle with a former video producer.
Marc Schaffel may testify about “Jackson’s sexual proclivities” and “intimate details of their conversations” if the pop star’s lawyers bring up his past as a porno-film director, according to a brief filed by his lawyer.
During his child-molestation trial last year, prosecutors showed piles of hard-core heterosexual porn magazines and DVDs seized from Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, along with a few “art” books featuring photos of naked and semiclothed young boys.
