MaggieMoo’s to open franchise on South Hill

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

A premium ice-cream chain with more than 172 franchises throughout the nation is opening its first parlor in Spokane.

MaggieMoo’s will open in mid-to-late March at 4310 S. Regal, said Mark Arnold, who will own the store with Greg Cazzanigi, owner of Northwest Beauty Supply and Salon and Beauty Works stores.

The Columbia, Md.-based MaggieMoo’s International dubs the stores — which sell freshly-made ice cream with mix-ins, smoothies and custom ice cream cakes — as “treateries.”

Custom flavors include cinnamoo, a cinnamon creation that Arnold calls his “personal favorite.”

MaggieMoo’s is located in a 1,300-square-foot shop in a new mini-mall on the west side of Regal. It contains seating and a viewing area where customers will be able to watch the ice cream being made daily.

The mall is near Adirondack Village and sits by a small park-like area with a pond and fountain.

Arnold said the partnership will open another store at Five Mile this summer.
