Britney Davis-White had a career-high 21 points and Chakhia Cole added 18 to help the 12th-seeded Mountaineers stun No. 6 Rutgers 56-40 Monday in the Big East tournament semifinal in Hartford, Conn.

The Mountaineers held Rutgers, which was undefeated in the conference for the first time in school history, to a season-low point total. … (9) Connecticut 69, (13) DePaul 57: Barbara Turner scored 14 points and Ann Strother added 13 to lead the Huskies to a win over the Blue Demons in the other Big East semifinal. Connecticut meets West Virginia in today’s final. … (18) Temple 59, George Washington 54: Candice Dupree scored 25 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and the Owls beat the Colonials in the Atlantic-10 title game in Philadelphia. … (2) Ohio St. 63, (12) Purdue 60: Marscilla Packer’s 3-pointer with 38.4 seconds left helped the Buckeyes claim their first Big Ten tournament title with win over the Boilermakers in Indianapolis.

Pacific-10 championship

Noelle Quinn scored the final seven points of regulation and four more in overtime to lift UCLA to its first Pac-10 tournament title with an 85-76 victory over No. 11 Stanford in San Jose, Calif.

The Bruins earned the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
