Eagles show pride

As a community member and leader of St. John, I’m amazed what one person – wearing a black-and-white shirt and a whistle – did to our basketball team in seconds. Our team was robbed of a possible win against Sunnyside Christian in our first game of the State B. Everyone in the arena, including their coach and players, knew their player scored a two-point shot (instead of a 3-pointer).

With that Eagle pride, our team came back to win the next two games. Our boys didn’t have a chance for a state championship, but they did place eighth in the tournament.
