Police say escapee tore hole in cell wall
A man who escaped from the Shoshone-Bannock tribal jail at Fort Hall is being pursued by U.S. marshals, Idaho State Police and tribal law officers.
Matthew James “Dopey” Wright, 31, apparently crawled through a hole he tore in his cell wall Tuesday, police said.
Wright, recently released from a federal prison, was arrested by Fort Hall police for violating his probation. Authorities say Wright is considered armed and dangerous.
Wright is described as a 5-foot-10, 192-pound tribal member with brown eyes. His shaved head is covered with tattoos, as are his legs and arms. He drags his left foot when he walks.
