Stanford sent packing

Blake Ahearn and Deke Thompson scored 19 points each to lead Missouri State (21-8) to a 76-67 win over Stanford (16-13) on Friday night in Springfield, Mo., in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament.

Missouri State blew all of a 21-point first-half lead, but used a 13-4 run to lead 66-61 with 2:40 remaining.

Cincinnati 86, Charlotte 80: Eric Hicks scored 23 and Cedric McGowan added 20 points to lead the Bearcats (20-12) past the 49ers (19-13) in Cincinnati.

Florida St. 67, Butler 63: Alexander Johnson scored 20, including four points in the final minute, to carry the Seminoles (20-9) over the Bulldogs (20-13) in Tallahassee, Fla.

Louisville 71, Delaware St. 54: Taquan Dean scored 21 points as the Cardinals (19-12) beat the Hornets (21-14) in Louisville, Ky.
