Area churches will fill with song

It is concert time this week at some Spokane Valley churches. So come one, come all and listen to voices raised in joyful praise.

The Calvary Baptist Gospel Choir Elite Praise Singers will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday at Opportunity Christian Church. A potluck dinner will follow, so bring a dish to share. The church is at 708 N. Pines Road.

The Continentals will perform during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. worship services Sunday at Millwood Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Road. A full concert will follow at 4 p.m. The Continentals is a nonprofit, interdenominational group that performs around the world.

St. John Vianney Catholic Church will host guest speaker Andrew Haffey discussing psychology and religion, at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 503 N. Walnut Road. Call the church at 926-5428 for more information.
