Concerts
•The Young Continental Singers will perform Sunday at 4 p.m. at Millwood Community Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Road.
The group, composed of 40 teenage musicians, singers and technicians, has been touring the world since 1967, sharing the gospel with music and dance.
There also will be tryouts for new members of the group after the performance.

•Covenant United Methodist Church, 15515 N. Gleneden Drive, is presenting the Luther College Symphony Orchestra Sunday at 7 p.m.
The 81-piece orchestra from Decorah, Iowa, is touring Idaho, Washington and Oregon.
The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for students.

•St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, 428 W. 19th Ave., is presenting Bethany Miller, an organist, in a recital Sunday at 2 p.m.
Miller is preparing to perform this summer at the American Guild of Organists’ national convention in Chicago.
Admission is free. A free-will offering will be accepted to benefit the Spokane Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Ignatian prayer
Diana Stoffregen, the coordinator for Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life, will facilitate “Discerning the Spirit: Explorations into Ignatian Prayer” on Sunday from 6 to 7:15 p.m. at the St. Aloysius Parish Center, on the corner of Boone and Astor.
The event is open to Catholics and non-Catholics. It will discuss ways to deepen prayer life and offer time for prayer and reflection.
The discussion will continue on April 2 and 9 from 6 to 7:15 p.m. There is no charge for attending, but an offering will be taken to help pay for the materials offered.

Mission fair
Northwood Presbyterian Church, 6721 N. Monroe St., is presenting its annual Mission Sunday on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
The event will begin with a service featuring Paul McLain, who will speak about his mission trip to Haiti.
After the service, representatives from various missions will be available to give information and answer questions.

Spring luncheon
St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 5720 S. Perry St., is presenting the Sunny Sunday’s Spring Luncheon on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The group Sunny Sundays is for single women and widows. The luncheon will feature gardening expert Phyllis Stephens, who will speak about container gardening.

Lenten services
•The Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave., is presenting “Celtic Prayer and Spirituality” on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Part of the church’s Lenten Family Evenings series, the evening will feature Carolyn Terry, a historian and teacher who will lead the session. The prayer for the evening will be a form of Celtic prayer.
A potluck dinner will follow, and programs for youth, children and adults will begin at 7.

•Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 314 S. Spruce St., is hosting Grace Lutheran, St. Paul Lutheran and Salem Lutheran churches Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. for a soup supper and worship.
The event is part of services that are being held each Wednesday during Lent.

•St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 1325 E. Queen Ave., is presenting Stations of the Cross every Friday during Lent at 7 p.m.
After the event, there will be a free soup and salad supper, plus fellowship.

Trinity United Methodist Church, 1725 E. Bridgeport Ave., is holding a book and rummage sale today from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
