The annual Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association All-State boys games will showcase local talent Sunday at KeyArena in Seattle. Ferris’ Jon Clift is on the 4A All State team that will play the 3A stars, including North Central’s Eric Beal and West Valley’s Tyler Hobbs at 1 p.m. It follows the Class B City versus B State which opens play at 11:30 a.m. The 1A vs. 2A game will immediately follow the 6 p.m. NBA game between the Seattle SuperSonics and Portland Trail Blazers. Members of the 2A All State team include Chewelah’s Cameron Stroyan. Brian Danaher of Colfax is on the 1A team. Republic’s Zach Gianukakis is a member of the B City lineup. The State team is made up primarily of players from the Bi-County, Whitman County and Panorama leagues. They are Jesse Butcher of St. John-Endicott, Austin Cook from Tekoa-Oakesdale, David Johnson from Odessa, Karl Richardson from Northwest Christian, Cameron Stevenson from Lind-Ritzville, Travis Teaford from Reardan, Lance Ragan from Inchelium and Clint March from Selkirk. On the same evening at Chiles Center at the University of Portland, Lewis and Clark’s Heather Bowman will play in the Oregon-Washington Northwest Shootout girls game at 5 p.m.

The win keeps the Knights (5-0, 5-0) on top of the GSL standings along with Central Valley. … Jay Vela scored five goals while Kevin Cameron and Jesse Dunbar both had three-point performances in CV’s (6-1, 5-0) 9-2 drubbing of host Clarkston (1-6, 1-4). …Taylor Yonago scored the lone goal of the contest as Ferris slid by visiting Shadle Park 1-0. The Saxons’ (4-1, 4-1) D.J. Bray blanked the Highlanders (3-4, 2-3) with five saves. … After Kyle Wilson scored his team’s third shooutout goal, Jason Gass saved the final opposing shot to seal Mead’s (4-1, 4-1) 3-2 shootout win over visiting University (2-3, 2-3). … Travis Green and Scott Harris scored two goals apiece to lead North Central (5-2, 3-2) in a 5-1 win over visiting West Valley (1-5, 0-5). …Blake Reed and Seth Anderson had two points apiece to lead Lewis and Clark (3-3, 3-2) in a 4-1 win at Rogers (0-6, 0-5). … Mitch Weller scored a pair of second-half goals, and Devin Merrill tallied another, as visiting Cheney (5-2, 4-1) registered a 4-0 win over Gonzaga Prep (1-5, 0-5).
Softball
“Greater Spokane League: Kelsey Vallies’ efforts at the plate and on the mound propelled North Central to a 9-3 win over visiting Clarkston (4-2, 4-2). Vallies struck out six and hit a bases-loaded triple in the fifth inning for the Indians (4-1, 4-1), who earned a share of second place in the standings with Rogers. Idle University and Shadle Park lead the way at 5-0.
Baseball
“Great Northern League: Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) recorded five consecutive singles in a four-run first inning and never looked back in a 9-4 win at Chewelah (0-3, 0-3). Anthony Froemke recorded four strikeouts while giving up one earned run to pick up his first win of the season for the Eagles (2-1, 2-1).
