Inland Empire League: Heather Helmhout tossed a complete game, allowing three hits and just one earned run, and Coeur d’Alene grabbed an 11-3 win over visiting Lakeland (8-14, 6-12) Thursday. Brianna Robson collected three hits and scored twice, and Lindsey Stark had two hits and two runs for the Vikings (15-6, 14-2), who hold a two-game advantage in the win column over Lake City for first place in the IEL. … Lela Work was 3 for 4 with three RBIs, including a two-run double in the fifth inning, and Lake City rolled to a 12-1 victory at Post Falls (17-5, 13-2). Jessica Ross and Chantel Waide each collected three hits for the Timberwolves (14-4, 12-2). The win pushed Lake City’s lead over the Trojans to 2 1/2 games in league. … Angela Pegram collected four hits on the day and pitched a complete game in the nightcap as Lewiston (7-13, 5-11) swept a doubleheader at Sandpoint (2-21, 1-16) 9-1 and 12-2.

Greater Spokane League: Shadle Park clinched the GSL title behind a one-hit shutout from Sam Skillingstad, who recorded 19 of her 21 outs on strikeouts, and a 2-0 win over visiting Rogers (11-6). Robin Conrad and Tressa Predisik each went 2 for 3 to pace the Highlanders’ (17-0). … Tran Tran’s three-run triple in the third inning tied the game and sparked North Central’s offense as the Indians (12-5) went on to a 10-4 win at Mead (9-8). Alex Cey went 2 for 2 and scored twice for Mead. …Tara Ruarkhad two hits, including a three-run homer in the fifth inning, and Clarkston (10-7) notched a 12-2 win at Gonzaga Prep (6-12). Stephanie Ogden collected two hits and four RBIs, and Zoe Speer finished 4 for 4 with an RBI for the Bantams. … Christina DeMello and Megan Bowman combined for 14 strikeouts and allowed just three hits as Mt. Spokane (12-5) shut out visiting West Valley (2-15) 10-0 in six innings. Kori Holcomb went 3 for 4 and scored three runs for the Wildcats. … Mickenzie Alden was 2 for 2 with a home run, double and four RBIs to lead Central Valley to a 10-0 five-inning romp over visiting Ferris (2-16). Krista Osterwyk finished with two hits and two RBIs, and Alyssa Erickson pitched a three-hit shutout for the Bears (14-3). … Lexi Obechain was a home run short of the cycle and finished with four RBIs as University pounded Lewis and Clark (3-14) 19-0 in five innings at Hart Field. Mandy Mikelson pitched a shutout and pushed her record to 7-0 for the Titans (15-2).

Inland Empire League: Coeur d’Alene poured in the runs and grabbed a pair of five-inning wins in a doubleheader sweep of visiting Lakeland (3-18, 1-17). Shea Bucinich was 3 for 3 with three runs and three RBIs in the Vikings’ 10-0 win in the early game. Cody Spencer finished 3 for 3 with three runs and two RBIs for Coeur d’Alene (12-8, 8-7) in a 13-2 win in the nightcap. Bucinich chipped in a two-run double in the second inning to tally five RBIs on the day.
