Mets 6, Braves 5: At New York, Jose Reyes and Kaz Matsui each had run-scoring hits in another seventh-inning comeback and the Mets beat Atlanta.

Phillies 4, Giants 1: At Philadelphia, Chase Utley homered and drove in two runs to lead the Phillies over San Francisco.

Rockies 5, Astros 0: At Denver, Jason Jennings pitched a seven-hitter for his second career shutout, leading Colorado over Houston.

Pirates 5, Nationals 4 (11): At Washington, Jason Bay hit a solo home run with two outs in the 11th inning to help Pittsburgh beat the Nationals.

Diamondbacks 3, Reds 1: At Phoenix, Claudio Vargas threw six solid innings and Arizona dealt Bronson Arroyo his first loss of the season in a win over Cincinnati.

Padres 2, Cubs 1 (10): At San Diego, Rob Bowen homered leading off the bottom of the 10th and the Padres edged Chicago.

Brewers 5, Dodgers 4: At Los Angeles, Nomar Garciaparra’s one-out RBI single in the bottom of the ninth carried the Dodgers over Milwaukee.
