CdA fades; Post Falls advances

Coeur d’Alene took an early 5-0 lead but couldn’t hang on as Centennial rallied for a 9-6 victory in Lewiston in a State 5A play-in baseball game Saturday. Jake Hall hit a two-run double in the first inning and finished 2 for 4 for the Vikings (14-10).

State 4A play-in: Dan Hamilton went 4 for 5 with three RBIs, including a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the ninth inning, to lead Post Falls to a 4-3 victory over Skyview in Lewiston. Hamilton also had an RBI single in the third and an RBI double in the fifth for the Trojans (15-10), who will face Bishop Kelly Thursday in Nampa.
