Ignite Theatre throwing itself a birthday party
Ignite Community Theatre will celebrate the close of its first season and look ahead to its second in a public birthday party Friday night.
The group will announce its Main Stage and Booklight Reader’s Theatre lineup for next season, and preview three of the upcoming plays. Season tickets will be available for purchase, and there also will be refreshments, games and door prizes.
It all starts Friday at 8 p.m. in the Cajun Room of the Rendezvous Event Center, 1003 E. Trent Ave. Admission is free; donations will be accepted.

Millhams at St. John’s
Guitarist Michael Millham and his wife, soprano Keleren Millham, will give a recital Sunday 4 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave.
The Millhams, who have performed under the name Sidhe, will present a program spanning 250 years of art song and solo guitar tradition. The Gothic-style cathedral will be open for tours before the concert from 1 to 4 p.m.

‘York’ at MAC
A repeat performance of “York,” a one-man play about the only black member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, will run Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, 2316 W. First Ave.
It was written by local playwright Bryan Harnetiaux and stars David Casteal, who provides drum rhythms. In honor of Washington state’s Arts Education Week, admission is free for area educators, school staff and museum members, $5 for all others (not suitable for children under age 12).
