Faith in Action Dialogue
The Fig Tree is presenting Marion Best of the World Council of Churches on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Seeley G. Mudd Chapel on the Whitworth College campus, 300 W. Hawthorne Road.
Best will also conduct a workshop from 9 a.m. to noon next Saturday in room 206 of Dixon Hall on the campus.
She will speak on the topic of “God, in your grace, transform the world” as part of the 2006 Fig Tree Faith in Action Dialogue.

Church fundraisers
“Manito United Methodist Church, 3220 S. Grand Blvd., is presenting a Pirate Treasure Auction today at 6 p.m.
The evening will include dinner and an auction. Attendees may come dressed as pirates.

Volunteer opportunity
Catholic Charities of Spokane is looking for volunteers to rake leaves for low-income senior citizens and the disabled.
