Ready for prime time
Keep an eye on these three once the season tips off:
Rodney Stuckey, Off guard:
Simply the best player in the conference, he was the first frosh to be named MVP as he set school scoring records, and is the nation’s top returning scorer.
Derek Risper, Forward:
Risper should give a much-needed inside presence. He has added muscle and improved his shooting, which should allow the guards to attack the basket or spot up for the 3.
Matt Penoncello, Wing:
Penoncello is a swing man who can defend and knock down a clutch 3-pointer. The former starter at off guard could back up two positions or start at small forward with Stuckey moving to off guard this season.
