Not a girl, no longer a wife – again.

Britney Spears filed for divorce Tuesday from her second husband, Kevin Federline, following two years of marriage and two sons.

She and Federline were wed in September 2004, eight months after she ended a 55-hour Las Vegas marriage to a childhood friend.

They have a 1-year-old son, Sean Preston, and an infant son who was born Sept. 12.

On Monday night, Spears, 24, showed off a slender post-pregnancy body and a new blond bob haircut during a surprise appearance on David Letterman’s “Late Show.”

Federline, 28 – a former backup dancer for Spears’ ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake – also has been in the news with last week’s poorly reviewed release of his first album, “Playing With Fire.”

Also last week, a judge threw out a $10 million lawsuit Spears had filed against Us Weekly magazine over a story claiming she and Federline had made a sex tape and were worried about its release.

Breathing easier

Anna Nicole Smith has been discharged from the Bahamas hospital where she spent a week receiving treatment for pneumonia.

Physicians at Doctors Hospital in Nassau released the 38-year-old former Playboy Playmate on Monday after determining that her collapsed lung had stabilized.

It’s the same facility where she gave birth in September to a daughter, and her adult son died while visiting her three days later.

Loss of Faith

Faith Hill insists she was just joking when cameras caught her apparently angry reaction over a loss at Monday’s Country Music Association Awards.

An upset-looking Hill was shown screaming “WHAT?” after the female vocalist of the year award went to newcomer Carrie Underwood.

But she says it was all a joke, and her manager adds: “She was being playful while the nominations were being read and playful after.”

Lanced a lot

Doogie Howser wasn’t outed, he was “lanced,” according to Lance Bass‘ boyfriend.

Reichen Lehmkuhl says the term describes people like the former ‘N Sync star – who announced in July that he’s gay – who disclose their sexuality following media speculation.

Neil Patrick Harris, who played the teen doctor on “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” last week revealed that he’s “a very content gay man living my life to the fullest.”

Even then, they knew

Suave vocalist John Legend, who’s getting great reviews for his new record, “Once Again,” says fame has its downside – like the speculation about his sexuality.

“Anybody who knows me knows that I’m not (gay), so it’s not even a conversation,” he says.

Legend is, however, precocious: “I went to high school when I was 12, and I graduated when I was 16. They used to call me Doogie.”
