Events promote recycling efforts
Spokane Regional Solid Waste System and America Recycles 2006 have several activities planned to mark America Recycles Day. This year’s campaign, which is the 10th annual, is “It All Comes Back to You.”
The public will be given a chance to win an Alaska cruise for two or a 24-speed youth bicycle by signing up for the Make The Pledge contest. Pledge forms are available at the poster exhibit in River Park Square or by visiting www.americarecycles.org for additional details. No purchase is necessary.
Events include:
Currently to Wednesday
Poster display will be in the River Park Square atrium on the second level. Posters feature the work of 30 student finalists (kindergarten through eighth grade) who entered the America Recycles Day poster contest.
Fifteen posters will be selected to appear in the Spokane Recycles 2007 calendar to be produced by Spokane Regional Solid Waste System and available in January.
